If you were getting an error downloading Dayta before, try now. It should work.
And you should get it.

Dayta has been approved by Apple (already!) and you should go to the App Store and get it here.
I’m going to be spending the next few days building the Dayta website (which will be up at Daytaapp.com – you’ll be able to watch the site being built if you visit often enough).
For now though, you can follow Dayta on twitter here.
I’ve redone the icon:

Here’s the 512 version for all who want it (unclipped):
And clipped (how it’ll look if your iPhone was HUGE):
Lots of things. First the site’s not dying. I’m going to keep posting a few tutorials to the site, on things I have yet to cover: custom UI and how I did persistent data storage in.. Dayta. I’ll be posting a reflection over at the root domain in the coming week(s) – I need a break first.
More importantly (maybe not to you, but to me), is where am I going? In the next several months, I hope to release quite a few apps (one or two more iPhone apps, and then I think I’m going to start developing for the iPad). And then it’s time for the next stage of my life – college.
That’s it for now.
PS: If you want to contact me (for whatever reason, work or fun or otherwise), you know how (or you will – I’m going to do another post in a bit). I’m always willing to talk.

I’ve submitted Dayta to Apple for review, just shy of the one-week mark.
Please check out the folder I linked all of you earlier. Inside, you’ll see a new beta build (inside the date folder). Please use the app as much as possible and report any bugs and feedback you may have. It’s around 24 hours until I have to submit Dayta to Apple, and I need to crush any last-minute bugs and crashes.
Thanks!
To everyone else: sorry but I need my beta testers to know about this ASAP and this is the quickest way.
Yup, if you haven’t noticed from the last posts, Dayta now supports goals (only one type for now, though).
This is how it looks like in graph mode:

People ask me all the time how I get my apps looking like they do. I’m going to go into really custom design in a later post, but this post is going to reveal one of my easier secrets: overlayed images.
Basically, take a screenshot of the app, go into PhotoShop, and then design on topof the image. Then, save that overlay and create an imageView that overlays the actual app. And bam, you’re done.
I’ve used this in the Data Options page, seen here:
Before:

After:

The differences are subtle, so open up the images in two tabs and flip between them if want to see all of the subtleties. Enjoy!
You can now edit past dates like so:

Why am I pumping out features so fast now? I saved all the easy ones for last.
