What’s next?

Sunday 14 February 2010, 4:40PM

Lots of things. First the site’s not dying. I’m going to keep posting a few tutorials to the site, on things I have yet to cover: custom UI and how I did persistent data storage in.. Dayta. I’ll be posting a reflection over at the root domain in the coming week(s) – I need a break first.

More importantly (maybe not to you, but to me), is where am I going? In the next several months, I hope to release quite a few apps (one or two more iPhone apps, and then I think I’m going to start developing for the iPad). And then it’s time for the next stage of my life – college.

That’s it for now.

PS: If you want to contact me (for whatever reason, work or fun or otherwise), you know how (or you will – I’m going to do another post in a bit). I’m always willing to talk.

A little taken aback by your college statement. How old are you? Or are you returning to college again? Just curios because if you're a high school/college student then that's really impressive. (it's impressive now, but I mean it would just add to the wow factor.

I also like the once a month one week app idea. You'll get more people to use your app this way because there's a certain level of intamacy.

I'm still in high school (a senior though).

Oh freaking crud. That's awesome. I'm a junior and have been trying pretty hard to learn iPhone/mac programming. You're now my hero.

I'm 30 years old and you're my hero! Seriously I've been trying to teach myself Objective-C on and off for the last year. I'm simultaneously amazed by your talent and ashamed that I've only made a "Hello World" app.
  • Good luck mate, For me as well, I'm still learning Xcode & iPhone Development
  • just a suggestion, if I'm allowed.
why don't you invite other developers to create their "one week app"?
of course it shouldn't be an "en masse" action, but selected developers with good ideas (no fart apps).
I think many devs would be interested, maybe once a month a new "one week app"?
    just saying.

anyway great idea and keep sharing tips.
thanks a lot for the fun week.
